"A voice cries out, Prepare in the wilderness a road for the Lord! Clear the way in the desert for our God!" Isaiah 40:3

As I said Friday night, if you weren't in the Christmas sprit before you arrived at the Christmas concert, you were when you left. I know I was. We had a good sprinkle of snow to get everyone in the mood and then the children of St. Therese did the rest. Yes, what a beautiful name it is, Our Lord Jesus, and what a beautiful performance it was, our St. Therese students. Thank you so much Mrs. Warga and Mr. Mallinson for another outstanding Christmas concert.

Much thanks goes out all mof the parent voluteers who worked in the kitchens and foyers selling baked gooods, soft drinks and Catholic Schools Week Tee shirts. We couldn't do it without you.

Congratulations to Father Marc, who was presented with a framed picture of himself during intermission by our HSA president, Matt Wines with an insignia under it recognizing him as an Apostle of Christ for 25 years. His picture will hang above the gym doors as you enter the building from now on. He is the Good Shepherd of St. Therese.

On Friday, December 22 there will be a 12:00 noon dismissal, except for the Roxbury buses. Students taking the Roxbury buses will be dismissed at 11:30 am to avoid conflicts with Roxbury public schools. During the school day there will be a special Christmas Prayer Service and breakfast for students, faculty and staff. Thank you, Mrs. Shephard.

Congratulations to Briana Favatella for taking first place in the Patriot's Pen Essay Contest sponsored by the VFW. Alex Kaelin won second place and Connor Lauch took third place in this very competitive writing contest. The contest was open to all 6th, 7th and 8th grade Roxbury students, public, private and parochial. Every student that placed was from St. Therese, so congratulations also goes out to all of our teachers as well for preparing them so well.

The Santa Shop will be open Tuesday, December 19. All students purchasing should bring in cash only.

Finally, let me take this opportunity to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas! I am off to San Diego on Tuesday night to spend Christmas with my daughter.

I hope this Christmas brings you the peace that only Christ can bring.

Merry Christmas!
