"The days are surely coming, says the Lord, when I will fulfill the promise I made to the house of Israel and the house of Judah." Jeremiah 33:14-16

This week and next week our students in grade 3-8 are receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation as we prepare for the season of Advent. There is no better way for our students and ourselves to prepare for Christmas than receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation and then attending mass to receive the Eucharist.

Students attended a very special First Friday mass today celebrated by Father Andres in honor of Father Marc who is celebrating his 25th anniversary as a priest. Fr. Marc was presented with gifts from faculty and students after mass. We are very fortunate to have a pastor of Fr. Marc's caliber. He is a role model for all. We wish him many, many more years in his ministry as Catholic priest.

There will also be a special mass for Fr. Marc on Saturday, December 2 at 5:00pm. Students who are attending the 5:00 mass are asked to wear their school uniforms.

Tonight, Friday December 1 there will be a dress rehearsal at 7:30 pm for presentation of  "The First Noel," in the church. There will also be two showings on Sunday, December 3 at 4:00 pm and at 7:30 pm. There is a good number of St. Therese students participating. Hope you can make it to one of the shows.

On Saturday, December 2 children will have the opportunity to have "Breakfast with Santa." The breakfast will take place from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm in the gymnasium. The cost is $8.00 per person which includes hot pancake breakfast, a snowball fight, bean bag toss and lots more. Also availble will be Arts and Crafts, a Photo Booth, Christmas Carol Sing-a-long and a visit with Santa. Pre-registration is required. Any questions call 201-317-4349.

On Tuesday, December 5 there will be a meeting for grade 3 parents  at 7:00 pm in the 3rd grade classroom and a meeting for 5th grade parents at 7:30 pm in the 5th grade classroom to discuss personnel changes that occurred in the two grades. The meeting is not mandatory. If you can't make the meeting you can always call my office with any questions.

Finally, I am asking parents to communicate announcements using the REMIND App as much as possible. Parents can sign up through the HSA.  I don't think it is a good idea to send so many announcements out using the Alert System when it it should be used for special weather announcements, school closings or emergencies. Besides parents are getting inundated with announcements that don't always pertain to them. I want parents to be communicated to, but I don't want to constantly interrupt their work schedules or other activities.

Have Blessed Weekend and be Safe,
